Mindy McAdams has drawn up a five-part series on online journalism on her blog.
Her entries are full of good advice for both budding journalists and seasoned reporters. I share much of the same outlook on online journalism and was struck by the similarities between her entries and the material in the multiplatform journalism course I teach at UBC.

Ha ha, they say great minds think alike, Alf. But seriously, there SHOULD be a lot of similarities between what is in our classes. I’m not surprised by that, because I know that you know what you’re doing. What is surprising is when we come across an online journalism course that is really stuck in a 2001 mind-set, focused on repurposed content. Those people need to get out more and see what’s going on in real newsrooms.
