Hi Alfred,

You can see a more specific report about digital journalism education (Educating Multi-Media Journalists: Recommendations by the “Digital Age” Syndicate, of the First World Journalism Education Congress, 25-28 June 2007) from the conference at http://gberger.wordpress.com/2007/07/05/wjec-syndicate-report-on-teaching-digital-journ/

Hi. Interesting post. It's almost necessary for any good journalism course to have both former journalists and experienced experts in fields like programming, video or photography.

I think all journalists need to constantly be up to speed and comfortable with the latest technology, but obviously can not be expected to have the same knowledge as the expert will have. In a sense though, isn't that makes the journalist the one who joins the dots between the different fields?
