This video preview of the redesigned NPR.org website looks promising. The top-level navigation has been simplified and there is an impressive use of interactive graphics.

NPR says the new site “will be brighter, lighter, faster, easier to use, easier to search and more fun to surf:”

It will be easier to combine listening and reading, to follow breaking news, to comment on our work and share it, and easier to find programming from your NPR station. Later this summer, we also plan to enhance our support for a variety of popular mobile platforms.

The site is due to go live on July 27.
